To excel in a sport, players must do more than master the technical skills associated with their particular sport. They must also acquire fundamental skills that are common to all sports.
For the past two years, Karelle has been doing speed work with young lacrosse and soccer players to help them improve their speed, strength, power and running technique. This translates into improved performance and gives players a competitive advantage over others.
Karelle graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2012 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Human Kinetics. After graduation, she worked as a kinesiologist at a physiotherapy clinic.
